WASHINGTON, DC June 27, 2022 – The AnnDyl Policy Group is thrilled to announce the hires of three professionals with extensive backgrounds in energy, electricity, workforce, and equity.
Meghan Conklin joins AnnDyl as Director of Government Affairs. Conklin has more than 20 years of experience working in energy policy and previously served for four years as Policy Advisor to Senator Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) on energy, environment, agriculture, science, space, and technology policy. In the Obama Administration, Conklin served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Transmission Permitting in the Office of Electricity at the Department of Energy.
“Meghan’s senior experience in energy, climate, and electricity in both the House and Senate as well as her political appointments in the Obama Administration give her exceptional expertise and key relationships to support our clients’ goals,” said Kara Saul Rinaldi, President and CEO of AnnDyl.
Shanna Fricklas joins AnnDyl as Manager of Government Affairs. Fricklas brings more than 12 years of experience working with both Democrats and Republicans driving policy advancements on energy issues and developing successful federal legislative strategies. Fricklas also provides legal expertise on energy issues, receiving her J.D. from Lewis & Clark Law School in 2015 and graduating with a Certification in Environment & Natural Resources Law.
“Shanna’s bipartisan work on the Problem Solvers Caucus and at the Niskanen Center offers important perspectives on the clean energy landscape and the importance of bipartisan relationships. Her legal expertise will be of great value to our clients as we continue our work advancing strong energy legislation,” says Saul Rinaldi.
Karina Camacho joins AnnDyl as Senior Policy Associate. Her experience includes work with the California Energy Commission, BlueGreen Alliance, UC Berkeley Labor Center, and US Government Accountability Office. Camacho also worked as a public health advocate helping local jurisdictions across the state of California adopt stronger public health policies. Karina has a Master of Public Policy from UC Berkeley and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology/Law & Society and International Studies from UC Irvine.
“Karina’s passion for equity, work with the labor community, and her Master’s studies on diversity, equity, and inclusion at UC Berkeley will support our clients’ efforts to expand the workforce and advance equity policies,” added Saul Rinaldi.
