Director of Marketing
For most of my life, I lived near the ocean. I loved it so much that I wanted to be a marine biologist but as life would have it, I never had the chance to finish pursuing it. But in an odd turn, I discovered that I enjoy creating – whether it was photography, digital media, or graphic design as much as I like research and pursuing knowledge. As a marketing expert, I have been able to merge to these two divergent concepts which led me to working in the environmental consultancy industry where I met Kara. This ironic twist of fate has brought me close enough to working on similar issues I would have pursued had I become a marine biologist.
Jeannie is a seasoned marketing professional, with over twenty years of marketing and communications experience. She has managed all aspects of marketing, including: strategy development and implementation, branding/positioning, collateral design and development, graphic design, public relations, event planning, and, social media.
She has previously held marketing director and/or marketing manager positions with large domestic and international firms, including: Environmental Resources Management, an international environmental consulting firm; Jeffrey M. Brown Associates, Inc., a large construction management and real estate development company; and, Skanska USA Building Inc, an international construction management company. Jeannie has also provided marketing and business consulting services to various industries, such as: real estate development, health and fitness, restaurant, start-up energy and technology and, non-profit organizations.
Jeannie has attended the University of California, Santa Barbara; University of Maryland; and, West Chester University. She is fluent in Japanese (verbal) and English and, has some working knowledge of reading and writing in Japanese.
