David Hunter Joins AnnDyl’s Growing Team of Energy Policy Experts
Washington DC, May 17, 2022 – The AnnDyl Policy Group is delighted to announce that Dr. David Hunter has joined the firm as Vice President of Government Affairs.
“David’s knowledge of energy and environmental policy and his extensive experience and contacts working with the electricity industry, Capitol Hill, and the federal government make him a valuable asset to AnnDyl and our clients,” said Kara Saul-Rinaldi, President and CEO of AnnDyl.
With more than 25 years of experience in Washington, DC, Hunter joins AnnDyl after a decade at the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), where he was most recently Head of Federal Affairs. His previous positions include Founding US Director of the International Emissions Trading Association; Staff Scientist to the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee; Legislative Assistant for Energy, Environment, and Climate to Senator Susan Collins (R-ME); and US DOE Global Change Fellow. While working in the Senate he played an instrumental role in shaping the Energy Policy Act of 2005.
“David’s thoughtful, bi-partisan approach to legislative and regulatory policy makes him the perfect addition to our growing team of energy and environmental policy experts,” said Saul-Rinaldi.
Hunter holds a Ph.D. in geochemistry from the Scripps Institution of Oceanography and a B.S. in Natural Resources from Cornell University. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of American Forests, the nation’s oldest conservation association.
